End of PEI stay, Fundy National Park and Camden Maine part II
Due to heavy rains being forecasted for half of our planned stay, we changed our reservation from Nova Scotia to Fundy NP, New Brunswick. In addition we added two more days on to our stay at PEI. We spent our last few days on PEI by going over to the capital, Charlottetown and using the library,

followed by a walk to the harbour (their spelling).

Of course even there, many things mention Anne of Green Gables

On Tuesday, we drove a few miles over to New Glasgow, home of the lobster supper. A fixed price four course dinner that has been a tradition there since the 1950's, lots of food and very tasty to boot!

We enjoyed our stay on Price Edward Island very much and hope to return there some day. Peaceful and low key coupled with fabulous views of rolling farm lands and the beaches along the Gulf makes this something to put on your list of places to go.
The 3.5 hour drive from Cavendish NP over to
Fundy NP in New Brunswick delivers you to a very nice park located next to the town of Alma, NB. Located on the bluff above the Bay of Fundy, the campsites are well laid out, and several give you a fantastic view of the bay. From these sites you an see the sun rise over the bay as well as the famous tidal change, largest in world at close to 40'!!! (this little nugget stuck in my brain since Junior High geography class).
Driving North along the coast to
Flower Pot Rocks located at Hopewell, NB, you can walk down 100 stairs to the ocean floor during low tides. In the distance, across the bay, Nova Scotia is easily visible.

Our second day at Fundy NP allowed us time to hike
Dickson Falls. This was a nice moderate trail that Cooper and CJ gave two paws up.

This was followed by a drive to the former logging town of
Point Wolfe.

Along the way we again stopped at a set of the Red Chairs. The NP places at points with interesting views. We saw three other sets of Red Chairs while at Fundy NP.

The afternoon found us making a 1.5 hr drive South to the
Fundy Scenic Drive (think Blue Ridge Parkway along the bay, several hundred feet above the water). All well worth the trip and quite beautiful.

Now back in the states with phone service again!. We stopped at Camden for a few days to regroup, do some PM items and then on to the next stop which hopefully will include some great Fall foliage!!
